One 9" Apple Pie
Ingredients
Crust
1-1/2 Cup Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
2 Tbsp Sugar
1/2 Cup Shortening
Ice-cold water
Filling
6 Cups Apples (about 6 small to 4 large)
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup White Sugar
2 Tbsp Flour
1 Tbsp Cinnamon
Recommended topping
Vanilla Ice Cream
Cinnamon

Directions
Crust
Sift together flour, salt, and sugar. Cut in shortening. Add very cold water (a few tablespoons--the exact amount depends on your exact ingredients and humidity) the dough should be no longer sticky, but not too soft. Refrigerate if not used right away.
Filling
Mix together apples, brown sugar, white sugar, flour, and cinnamon.
Pie
Roll dough for crust and place in 9" pie pan. Add apple filling and cover with remaining crust. Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven (176 Celsius) for 45 minutes to an hour, or until golden brown. Cool and serve with vanilla ice cream topped with cinnamon and/or brown sugar.
